Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. Name, email address, and any details you submit when joining our waitlist, requesting a demo, creating an account, applying to programs, or contacting us. If you use the platform, this may also include profile information, content you upload (photos, videos, posts), social media handles, and payment or payout details processed by our payment providers. If you shop with us, this includes your first name, the activities you pick, the creators and clubs you follow, the products you favorite, and the Packs you build.

Information collected automatically. Device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, referring links, and usage data collected through cookies and similar technologies. When you click a product link in the Cahndu Shop, we record that click, and the retailer or affiliate network you land on receives a non-identifying tracking code so the creator or club who recommended the product can be credited. We do not receive your payment details from those sellers.

Information from third parties. If you connect a social media account, we receive information that platform makes available, such as your public profile and content metrics.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to provide and improve the Services; manage the waitlist and communicate with you about launch, features, and updates; connect creators, clubs, ambassadors, brands, and event organizers; personalize the Cahndu Shop based on the activities you pick and the creators, clubs, and products you follow or favorite; track referrals, clicks, and campaign performance; process rewards and payouts; keep the Services secure and prevent fraud; and comply with legal obligations.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information with service providers who help us operate the Services (hosting, email, analytics, payments); with brands, event organizers, or clubs when you choose to apply to or participate in their campaigns or programs; with retailers and affiliate networks as a non-identifying tracking code when you click a product link; in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets; and when required by law or to protect our rights and users. Creators and clubs do not see who follows or favorites them; they see counts only. A Pack you choose to share is visible to anyone with its link, along with your first name.

4. Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and understand how the Services are used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features.

Some pages show social posts (for example a TikTok, Instagram reel or YouTube video) in the platform's own player. Nothing loads from that platform until you press play. Once you do, the platform that hosts the post may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

5. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate business purposes such as legal compliance, dispute resolution, and enforcing agreements. You may ask us to delete your information at any time.

If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information except where we need to retain certain information for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute-resolution, or regulatory purposes. Transaction and financial records may generally be retained for up to seven years, or longer where required by law.

6. Information From Connected Social Media Accounts

If you choose to connect an Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or other social media account to Cahndu, we receive information from that platform through its API or another authorized connection.

The information we receive depends on the platform, the permissions you grant, and the information the platform makes available to us. It may include:

• your username, handle, profile name, profile photo, bio, and other profile information;
• follower or subscriber counts;
• posts, videos, captions, descriptions, and other published content;
• information about your content, such as publication dates and content identifiers;
• engagement information and performance metrics, such as views, likes, comments, or similar metrics where available; and
• other information you authorize the platform to share with Cahndu.

7. How We Use Connected Social Account Information

We may use information from your connected social accounts to:

• create, populate, and update your Cahndu profile;
• display your social accounts, audience information, content, and activity within Cahndu;
• help brands, races, events, clubs, experiences, and other partners discover creators who may be relevant to their programs;
• recommend opportunities, creators, campaigns, or partnerships;
• support creator, campaign, ambassador, affiliate, UGC, gifting, and partnership features;
• measure content, participation, campaign activity, referrals, and performance;
• verify that requested or agreed-upon content has been published;
• improve Cahndu's matching, discovery, analytics, and platform features;
• maintain the security and integrity of Cahndu; and
• provide features that we describe to you when you connect your account.

What partners see. When you connect Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or a Facebook Page, brands, race and event organizers, and other partners signed in to Cahndu can see your most recent posts from that account (up to nine from the last 90 days). The posts play in the platform’s own player, and each one shows its view and like counts as reported by the platform, where the platform provides them, with the date we last read them. These posts and counts never appear on your public Cahndu pages. You can turn this off for each connected account under My Profile, Socials, and partners stop seeing those posts right away.

Partners can also see when one of your posts names or tags them, with a link to that post. You can turn this off for each connected account, and past matches are deleted when you do.

We do not use your social media account password to connect your account. Authentication is handled through the applicable third-party platform or authorized authentication service.

8. Disconnecting Your Account

You may disconnect a connected social media account through Cahndu where that option is available or by revoking Cahndu's access through the applicable third-party platform.

After you disconnect or revoke access, we will stop retrieving new information from that account unless you reconnect it. We will delete, refresh, anonymize, or retain previously received information as required or permitted by applicable law, our legitimate business needs, and the requirements of the applicable third-party platform.

Certain information may continue to appear where necessary to maintain transaction records, campaign records, legal obligations, fraud-prevention records, or other records that we are permitted or required to retain.

We read your recent posts and their counts about once a day and replace the counts each time. Post captions and counts are deleted 90 days after we last read them, or right away when you disconnect the account.

Access tokens are stored encrypted and deleted when you disconnect, when they expire, or when the platform tells us you removed Cahndu. You can confirm a deletion at app.cahndu.com/data-deletion.

9. YouTube API Services

Cahndu uses YouTube API Services when you choose to connect your YouTube account or use certain YouTube-related Cahndu features.

By connecting YouTube, you authorize Cahndu to receive and use information made available through YouTube API Services according to the permissions you grant.

Cahndu’s use of information received from YouTube API Services is subject to the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube API Services Terms of Service. Connecting YouTube also means you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service.

You may revoke Cahndu’s access to your YouTube data through your Cahndu account settings, where available, or through Google’s security settings.

When access is revoked, Cahndu will delete or otherwise handle YouTube API data in accordance with YouTube's applicable data deletion and retention requirements.

We may periodically refresh information received through YouTube API Services to ensure that the information displayed by Cahndu remains current and that we continue to have permission to access it.

10. Connected Stores and Registration Platforms

Online stores. When a brand connects its Shopify store, we receive its product catalog and, for each order, the order number, amounts, discount code, the page the shopper landed on, and the shopper’s email address. We use the email only to stop a creator from earning commission on their own purchase, and we delete shopper contact and address details from stored order messages after 90 days. We use these orders to credit creators and clubs and to show the brand its results.

Race registration platforms. When a race or event organizer connects its RunSignUp account, we read its registration records to count how many registrations used each creator’s discount code. RunSignUp includes runners’ names and email addresses in those records; we discard them as they are read and keep only the registration number, the event, the registration date, and the code used. Creators and organizers see counts, never who registered. We also create discount codes in the organizer’s RunSignUp account on their behalf when they ask us to.

Registration links. When you register for an event through a Cahndu link to RunSignUp, the link carries Cahndu’s affiliate code so RunSignUp can credit Cahndu. It does not identify you and never changes the price you pay.

11. Your Choices

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, unfollow or remove favorites at any time, update or delete account information, and request a copy or deletion of your personal information by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including the Utah Consumer Privacy Act.

12. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

13. Security Incidents and Data Breach Notification

We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information.

If we become aware of a security incident involving personal information, we will investigate the incident and take appropriate steps to contain, remediate, and address it.

Where required by applicable law, we will notify affected individuals, regulators, government authorities, consumer reporting agencies, or other parties within the time and in the manner required by applicable law.

14. Children

Accounts require you to be at least 18. The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice on the Services.
